Bathroom Redo Part 1

Hello!

How is your organization going?

I started a project today.  I am working on my bathroom.   Hope you enjoy!

PS This is a bathroom.  There are pictures of feminine products.  If this makes you uncomfortable sorry.  Again.  It is a bathroom.

Today I worked on under the sink.  This is the before picture.  Pretty messy eh?  Ya I would agree.  I have been meaning to clean this out for a long time and this was the motivation for me to do it!!

Here are my drawers before.

So here is my process.
I emptied everything out from underneath.  I had bought these red containers from the dollar store a few months back.

Here are my drawers after.

So there ya go.  Lol.  Sorry it's not much.  But it is a good start for me at least!  I hope this gives someone an idea of how to utilize your space.  I will say the stackable containers from the dollar store don't stay up very well.  But it is a good idea to utilize the space that was being waisted before.

I would love to see your bathroom organization.

What's In My Purse?

Hello!

Today I would like to show you how I organize my purse.

Now.  I am always looking for that perfect purse.  I buy one that I think I like use it for a few weeks then usually give it to charity.
I wanted one with a lot of organizational pockets and features built in.  I wanted one with metal hardware for the straps.  I wanted one with a somewhat sturdy structure.

I found this one at I believe Target at least three or four years ago.  I have used it ever since.  I love this bag.  My dad calls it my suitcase.  But I love it.

In this front shallow pocket is usually where I keep my phone.  I also always have a chapstick.

In the upper pocket I have a pill box with my daily proscriptions and supplements.  I also carry around a phone charger as well.

This is the main compartment.  This is usually what it looks like.  I didn't arrange anything for this post.  I like having an organized purse.  I throw away receipts pretty much as I receive them.  I hate having my purse in a messAmazon
.t gets too out of control I empty everything out as soon as I get home.

In the side open pocket (usually for phones) I keep some mints (I am not a gum chewer as I suffer from tmj) and some blotting papers.

In the main compartment I keep my planner.  (I have a separate blog looking into that if you are interested.  www.lifeofafleek.blogspot.com)

This is my planner essentials bag.  Again I have a post on what is inside that on my blog here.

Next is my walking pharmacy bag.  I originally got this idea from Jen on Organized Like Jen.  Mine is not as full as hers but I do carry some essentials that I use almost daily.  Comment below if you would like a look inside.

And of course I have my wallet.  I got this wallet from Walmart I believe.  I have had it for a good at least 7-8 years.  I love this wallet.  So many organizational components built into it.  My niece LOVES my wallet too.  Ever since she was a baby she would chew on it and now she loves to look through it.  Lol.

In the side zipper pocket I just keep my store cards.  I got this card organizer on Amazon
 I love it.

I like being able to see all of my cards without hanging to go through them all like in a regular business card holder.

And finally what purse would be complete with out hand sanitizer.  I keep mine readily available on the side of my purse.  I also hook my keys there.

Thanks for joining me today!  I would love to see how you organize your purse!

Have a good one!

Welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to my new blog!

Now.  I first and for most would like to put some disclaimers out there.  My blog is entitled Ask Me If I Am OCD.  Now.  I do realize that OCD is a very serious illness that some people suffer through.  Please do not misunderstand me in taking this lightly.  I do realize there are people who suffer from this illness.  My inention of this blog is not to make fun of those people.  In fact it is not to make fun or degrade.  In fact I have high hopes of the opposite.

I like to organize and micro organize things in my home.  I have not been clinically diagnosed with OCD.  Which brings me to my second disclaimer.  I have not been diagnosed with this illness.
However for those of us who like all things organizing use the term OCD very lightly meaning that we need to have everything perfect.  To have things in their place.

In fact there is a video on YouTube that my sister shared with me not really making fun per se of this condition but explaining it.
Here is a link to that here.
I find it so true.  May be not to that extent in some cases but in some of them yes.

So.  The intention of this blog is to share with you some of my organization projects and ideas.  In return I hope you share yours!  This will be a learning experience for all of us!

I created the acronyms for OCD being Organizing Changing and Doing.
Organizing because obviously this is what we like to do.  Changing meaning there is always room to grow and improve.  Finally Doing.  If we are going to be organizing and Changing we actually need to be Doing something.
So in my OCD can really be a good thing.  So ask yourself.  Are you OCD?  Organizing Changing and Doing?

Let's begin this journey together!
